A local school district is seeking state funding through a grant opportunity.
The Knoch School board recently approved a couple of Facility Improvement grant resolutions with the Department of Community and Economic Development’s Commonwealth Financing Authority.
They are asking for approximately $3 million to address roof, boiler, and chiller concerns at the high school as well as an undetermined amount for use at the Intermediate Elementary School in dealing with roof, electrical, and sewage line concerns.
If awarded, these grants require a 25% local match contribution. The deadline to apply for these grants is the end of this month.
