Kyle Larson will attempt to become just the fifth race car driver to compete in both the Indianapolis 500 and the Coca-Cola 600 in the same day after a joint announcement Thursday between Hendrick Motorsports and McLaren Racing. Tony Stewart, Kurt Busch, John Andretti and Robby Gordon are the drivers to have previously raced in both events. McLaren will assist Rick Hendrick, who will enter the Indy 500 as an IndyCar owner for the first time. Hendrick Motosports has a Nascar record 291 victories, including Cup Series wins at the famed Indianapolis oval.
