Two Pennsylvania teens pled guilty to several felonies for creating child sexual abuse material of classmates.
Attorney General Dave Sunday announced that two 16-year-olds from Lancaster County pled guilty to 59 felony counts of sexual abuse of children (manufacturing child sexual abuse material), conspiracy to commit that offense, and obscene material or other sexual performance, a misdemeanor.
According to the release, the two teens would use pictures from Instagram and morph the images to make them appear nude. Some of the victims were classmates of the two teens.
Sunday called the case the “dark side” of social media and modern technology being used to victimize children who post photos online.
A sentencing date is scheduled for March 25.
