The public is invited to hear readings from a couple of local authors at Butler County Community College later this week.
The latest free event in the Northern Appalachia Reading Series is planned for Thursday at 6 p.m. the Heaton Family Learning Commons.
Kittanning native Jolene McIlwain will read from her debut collection of 22 short stories titled “Sidle Creek” which was named a Library Journal Best Book of 2023. Also, BC3 graduate Angel Rosen will share some of her recent poetry.
An open-mic session for BC3 students and community members is planned before the readings followed by a question and answer period, the opportunity for book signings, and light refreshments.
