After President Donald Trump took control of D.C. Police, one Harrisburg lawmakers wants to pass a law to prevent any attempt to do the same in Pennsylvania.
Senator Art Haywood, who represents parts of Northern Philadelphia and Montgomery Counties, has proposed a bill that would prevent commandeering the assets of law enforcement agencies in the Commonwealth.
This bill comes in response to calls by the President to send troops into the city of Philadelphia.
The bill was formally introduced in the senate and was referred to the Law and Justice.
