A State Representative from Lawrence County is planning to introduce a bill that would require a hands-on class for Pennsylvania students.
Representative Marla Brown will be introducing a bill that would require students in 6th through 12th grade to take shop class.
Brown says requiring shop class gives “students real opportunities to discover skills they may not otherwise be exposed to and putting them on a path toward meaningful, family-sustaining careers.”
Once the bill is formerly introduced it will need to pass through the house Education Committee before a vote on the house floor.
