State lawmakers are once again attempting to move the date of the presidential primary election.
After several failed attempts last year to move the Presidential Primary election up, state senators David Argall and Sharif Street are introducing legislation to move up the date.
The current date set every year is the fourth Tuesday of April. The senators would like to see that date moved to the third Tuesday in March.
A previous proposal passed the senate by a vote of 45 to 2 last legislative session.
