Late last week the Butler County Chamber of Commerce hosted local state politicians to talk about legislation goals for the next year.
In attendance were State Senators Scott Hutchinson and Elder Vogel and State Representatives Marci Mustello, Tim Bonner, Stephenie Scialabba, and Aaron Bernstine.
Topics addressed include energy, education, and expanded broadband.
Hutchinson and Vogel warned of further potential black outs due to Governor Josh Shapiro’s push for more clean renewable energy, claiming it will impact costs and require to impact agricultural land.
All in attendance also criticized Governor Shapiro’s education plan saying the commonwealth could not afford such a large investment at this time.
Finally, the effort to expand access of broadband throughout the county continues as funding continues to come in from the state and federal government.
Those with access to Armstrong Cable can watch the entire event.
