Residents of all ages are invited to learn more about a special member of our animal community at a local park later this week.
Moraine State Park is holding a “Busy Beaver Promenade” on Friday from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Pavilion 7 of McDanels Launch Area on the North Shore.
The park naturalist will share more about these ecosystem engineers during a 1.5-mile hike along a portion of the North Country Trail.
Participants should dress for the weather and wear sturdy hiking shoes while keeping an eye out for signs of beaver activity.
