Those interested in enjoying nature while learning more about trees in winter are invited to an event later this week at McConnells Mill State Park.
On Wednesday from 1 to 3 p.m. DCNR staff will lead participants on a guided tree identification walk through the grassy areas near the Kildoo Pavilion and Picnic area.
During the session, participants will learn more about a variety of trees using forestry techniques and tools.
Participants of all ages are advised to dress for the weather. Park staff also recommends that participants bring a drink or snack.
