State Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine is encouraging people to limit their gatherings as another holiday approaches.
With New Year’s Eve right around the corner, Dr. Levine says it’s important for people to follow the mitigation efforts in order to avoid a surge.
“Public health officials are concerned about travel during the holidays and gatherings. We want to make sure the current plateau or even decrease continues into the new year,” Levine said.
Levine said there are no plans to lift restrictions for the holidays, and that the Department of Health hasn’t made a decision about what will happen following the order’s expiration date on January 4th.
