Pennsylvania’s health secretary is weighing in on restaurants that are defying the indoor dining shutdown order from the state.
Some restaurants here in Butler County have made the decision to reopen to serve patrons inside.
State Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine says that’s a mistake.
“They’re really hurting themselves. They’re putting themselves at risk, I think they’re putting their staff at risk and their patrons and customers at risk,” Levine said. “I think it can impact the entire community.”
Levine also added that there’s “robust evidence” that the virus spreads at restaurants.
