Butler County families with young children will have the chance to get more information about developmental milestones through a local screening planned for later this week.
Lifesteps is offering free developmental and autism screenings on Monday from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the Rose E. Schneider Family YMCA in Cranberry.
Children age five and younger can be screened in about 30 minutes using games and activities to determine development in areas such as seeing, hearing, speaking, playing, moving, and thinking. Results, including early warning signs of possible issues will be discussed immediately with parents or guardians.
Appointments are required and can be made by calling Lifesteps at 724-283-1010.
