The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has awarded a local organization grant funding in effort to reduce food waste.
The Food Recovery Infrastructure Grant (FRIG) Program has awarded $4.1 million in grants in Pennsylvania for the reimbursement of the cost of equipment such as fridges, stoves, transportable cooking appliances and more.
Locally the Lighthouse Foundation was reimbursed $24,464 through the FRIG Program.
