Pockets of strong storms rolled through Butler County earlier this morning and caused damage to a couple of homes in Seven Fields.
Dispatchers say two homes in the 900 block of Northridge Drive were struck by lightning around 6:30 a.m.
Both homeowners say they had the smell of electrical burning in their homes. No significant damage was done according to crews that responded to the homes.
The strong storms persisted throughout the morning.
