
For those in need of energy assistance, a deadline has been extended for funding for a government program.
The final day to apply for LIHEAP (Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program) has been extended to April 18.
Low-Income Pennsylvania residents who are behind or struggle to pay energy bills can apply to LIHEAP for cash and crisis benefits.
Eligible individuals include those whose income is below or at $22,590 for an induvial or a family gross income of $46,800 a year. Grants can range from $25 to $1000.
Funding for this year have been maintained through federal government cuts.
