For those in need of energy assistance, a deadline has been extended for funding for a government program.
The final day to apply for LIHEAP (Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program) has been extended to May 8th.
Low-Income Pennsylvania residents who are behind or struggling to pay energy bills can apply to LIHEAP for cash and crisis benefits.
Eligible individuals include those whose yearly gross income is less than $24,000 for an individual or $48,500 for a family of four. Grants can range from $25 to $1000.
