A local organization has matched a grant that will bring new supplies and equipment for the Blind Association of Butler and Armstrong.
The Butler Lions Club along with several other Lions Club organizations in the area recently accomplished the required steps to secure the grant from The Lions of Pennsylvania Foundation.
Items such as new tables, chairs, and dollies were purchased for use in the educational and meeting room at the Blind Association of Butler and Armstrong. The items were presented earlier this month.
The Butler Lions Club began in 1923 and anyone interested in joining the club is welcome to attend membership meetings held the first and third Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m.
