A local nonprofit organization is giving back to the community through an activity planned for this weekend.
The Butler Lions Club will be packaging over 10,000 meals on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. at the Butler Blind Association Building.
The meals will then be distributed to food banks throughout Butler and four other counties. The Butler Lions Club began in 1923.
Anyone interested in joining the club is welcome to attend membership meetings held the first and third Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m.
