The Little League Baseball World Series began Wednesday in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Venezuela won the opening game 5-0 over Puerto Rico. Nevada defeated Illinois 16-0. Panama defeated Australia 7-2. Connecticut defeated Texas 1-0. Four more games will be played today at 1pm, 3pm, 5pm and 7pm. The Little League team from Pennsylvania will face South Dakota tonight in the 7pm game. All of the games are being televised on ESPN.
Chinese Taipei rallied past Washington last night for a 6-4 victory to claim the PONY League World Series being played in Washington, Pennsylvania.
