A local attorney will be running as an independent to challenge Butler County’s longtime district attorney.
Jennifer Gilliland-Vanasdale announced she is running as an independent to be Butler’s next district attorney.
She says she is running because “we need a district attorney who acts independently.”
Gilliland-Vanasdale says she has received enough signatures to appear on the ballot as an independent.
Rich Goldinger is the current district attorney; he won the Republican nomination without any challengers in May. There were no Democrats on the ballot.
