Local residents are being asked to join in an effort to save lives.
The first of several local Vitalant blood drives is planned for Sunday from 8 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at St Joseph Church in Cabot. Another Vitalant drive will take place a week from today (2/20), from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Karns City High School. Vitalant is offering all donors who give blood and opt into their Donor Rewards Program a $15 gift card. In addition, an American Red Cross blood drive is taking place Monday from noon to 5 p.m. at Meridian Fire Hall on Sparks Avenue in Butler. Those able to donate at this drive are asked to make an appointment through the website of the American Red Cross, the Red Cross Blood Donor App, or by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS.
