A local business is asking for help to make this a brighter holiday season for kids in need of medical care.
Ace Hardware in the Greater Butler Mart currently ranks 12th in the nation in fundraising efforts for the Children’s Miracle Network with nearly $24,000 through the end of November.
Most of that money raised results from customers rounding up at the cash register and donating a handful of change at a time. If the Butler store is able to get into the top 10 nationally by the end of the year, Duracell will donate an additional $10,000 to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.
Anyone interested in contributing to this effort can visit Ace Hardware at the Greater Butler Mart, call the store to make a credit card donation over the phone, or they will even come to donors to pick up donations. Donors will be acknowledged through signage in the store or they can remain anonymous.
