A couple of local health care providers have been chosen to receive federal funding to help with technology and infrastructure improvements.
The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services recently announced that a total of over $42 million in grant funding has been awarded to support over 65 projects as part of the Rural Health Transformation Plan.
One of the organizations on that list is Center for Behavioral Health LLC DBA Cranberry Township Comprehensive Treatment Center will receive over $400,000 to purchase and implement a passenger transportation van that will expand access to treatment, counseling, and behavioral health services for individuals living in rural communities, and also for facility enhancement including critical security infrastructure improvements focused on patient safety and staff protection.
Also chosen to receive funds is VieCare Butler LLC dba LIFE Butler County Medical Center on West Diamond Street. They will use nearly $123,000 to purchase a new Micro Bird bus and enhance transportation access.
