A local fire company will receive state money to help with a vehicle purchase.
According to State Representative Aaron Bernstine, the Portersville Muddy Creek Volunteer Fire Department has been awarded a nearly $82,000 loan by the Office of the State Fire Commissioner.
This money will be put towards the purchase of a Ford E350 Crestline CCL150 ambulance that will replace an older unit and improve service.
The Fire Company and Emergency Medical Services Loan Program through the Office of the State Fire Commissioner provides low-interest loans to fire and EMS organizations to upgrade equipment or facilities.
