A group led by a local lawmaker made a stop at a Butler County facility as they gather information about uses of artificial intelligence.
In her role as Chair, State Representative Stephanie Scialabba took the five-person Artificial Intelligence Opportunity Task Force on a tour of the underground facility at Iron Mountain.
The committee then joined North Country Brew Pub owner Bob McCafferty for lunch at his Slippery Rock restaurant before visiting a robot company in Pittsburgh for a federal and state field hearing.
The Artificial Intelligence Opportunity Task Force has a goal of developing guiding principles and standards to help narrow the scope of review on legislation already in the works as well as inform innovative legislative policy to be formulated in the future.
