One local state lawmaker has introduced legislation along with other Republican lawmakers to curb regulation and provide tax breaks to incoming A.I. data centers.
After $90 billion in A.I. technology companies announced they will be coming to Western Pennsylvania several state lawmakers including State Representative Stephenie Scialabba has introduced A.I. legislation. The proposed bills from Scialabba would provide $10 million per year over five years to A.I. businesses and create an A.I. consortium that will test and vet potential regulatory barriers for A.I. stakeholders.
The other two proposed bills are the Keystone Artificial Intelligence Authority Act and Creating the Commonwealth Opportunity Zone which provides more state resources to help grow the A.I. industry in Pennsylvania.
