Local lawmakers are pushing back on the latest proposal by PennDOT that would see a toll implemented for a select number bridges across the state.
A total of nine bridges would be impacted by the decision—including two in Western PA: the Canoe Creek Bridge in Clarion County and Bridgeville Interchange on I-79.
The one to two dollar toll though has brought pushback from lawmakers like Senator Scott Hutchinson.
He said in a press release that this is “nothing more than another proposal by the Governor to raise taxes without legislative approval.”
