A few more Butler County municipalities have been chosen to receive state funding for improvement projects.
According to State Representative Marci Mustello, the Commonwealth Financing Authority has approved a $250,000 Local Share Account grant for Chicora Borough to improve the water filtration plant as well as another $250,000 to Summit Authority to support a sanitary sewer extension project in Summit Township.
Also the CFA is also providing a $200,000 Local Share Account program grant to purchase and upfit a dump truck in Winfield Township, just over $160,000 for Clearfield Township to purchase a new tractor and mower, $150,000 for Saxonburg Borough to renovate the historic Wire Rope Workshop Building in Roebling Park, and just over $140,000 to Oakland Township for the purchase and upfitting of a new dump truck.
