The ballots for the 2023 Farm Service Agency county committee election are currently being mailed out with a local resident to be considered.
Farmers and ranchers in Local Administrative Area 1 in Butler County are asked to consider nominee Edward H Smith of Smiths Incredibull Farms in Petrolia which produces corn, wheat, soybeans, and beef cattle.
Ballots must be returned to the Butler County FSA office or postmarked by December 4th. New committee members will take office for a three year term on January 1st.
FSA county committee members use their knowledge and judgment to help the agency make important decisions about community programs. Producers who participate in an FSA program are eligible to vote.
