A lockdown at a Butler Area School District facility has been lifted following an incident with a gun Friday morning.
According to Butler City Police, shortly before 9 a.m. someone reported a male leaning out of a window of a building near Emily Brittain Elementary School with what appeared to be a gun.
School administrators decided to put a lockdown into place while school police and city police conducted an investigation. That investigation determined that the gun was a toy and no one was in danger.
No further information will be released since juveniles were involved.
