A local teenager has returned after winning a free trip to Washington D.C.
Lydia Scardina was selected as the winner of Central Electric Cooperative’s annual Youth Tour. The co-op picks from a number of local applicants to win an all-expense paid trip to the nation’s Capital.
Scardina had a chance to meet with lawmakers and tour many historic landmarks in Washington D.C.
Central Electric officials say they will open the application process for next year in 2024.
