The Butler County Area Vocational-Technical School has confirmed its first case of COVID-19.
A news release Monday states that a phone message with that information was released to the school’s community on Friday.
Anyone who has been identified as a close contact of the infected person will be contacted by the Pennsylvania Department of Health as well as receive a letter through the U.S. Postal Service this week.
Vo-Tech Executive Director Regina Hiler asks that all families of Vo-Tech students take the child’s temperature once daily to check for fever. Families are also asked to watch for any symptoms and report those symptoms immediately in addition to wearing a mask, social distancing, and follow all proper hygiene procedures.
