A longtime attorney in the Butler area died in a car crash late last week in Forward Township.
69-year-old Kathryn McGowan of Slippery Rock died in an accident on Evans City Road last Friday morning.
McGowan was a private practice attorney that was based out of Evans City.
She was also a co-founder of the Save Slippery Rock Creek movement.
McGowan died after her vehicle crossed the center line and hit another vehicle driven by 80-year-old Marcia Carnahan of Slippery Rock. Carnahan also died in the crash.
