A former professor at Butler County Community College and longtime fixture at athletic events in Butler has died.
Walter Fitzpatrick died this week at the age of 82.
Fitzpatrick began teaching at BC3 in the college’s early days of 1967. He taught geography and social studies at BC3 for over 40 years before retiring in 2009.
Fitzpatrick was also an avid supporter of BC3 athletics and was inducted into their Hall of Fame in 2017.
