The Butler County PA Emergency Services celebrated the retirement of a RAD officer with a half a century of service.
A RAD officer is short for Radiological Officer and over sees emergency management and response.
On Wednesday, Mike Safreed retired after 50 years of service to the county.
In the statement that announced Safreed’s retirement, the Butler County PA Emergency Services said, “Fifty years of stepping up, answering the call, and protecting this community is a milestone few ever reach. We are profoundly grateful for your lifetime of service.”
