A disagreement between neighbors in Mercer County quickly escalated resulting in charges against a man accused of making threats with a machete.
According to Grove City Police, officers were called out shortly before 8 p.m. Saturday to the 600 block of South Center Street where they found intoxicated resident 28-year-old Steven Corner.
Corner allegedly had confronted his neighbor with the weapon because hours earlier Corner had unlawfully entered that neighbor’s residence and stolen a bow and alcoholic beverages and the neighbor was upset. Corner is also accused of using the bow to shoot arrows in the air around the area.
As he was being arrested, police found that Corner was in possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked into the Mercer County Prison on $100,000 bond where he will face charges including burglary, criminal trespass, theft, terroristic threats, reckless endangerment, and simple assault.
