A Cranberry man is in the Butler County Prison after he allegedly choked a woman and threatened to kill her.
On Wednesday, police were called to a Cranberry Township home for a reported domestic incident. When officers arrived on scene, 50-year-old Edward Tabachka was allegedly looking for a gun.
When police interviewed the victim, she had red marks on her neck and she accused Tabachka of choking her and threatening to kill her and others at the home.
Tabachka has been charged with strangulation, terroristic threats, simple assault, and harassment. He’s been placed in the Butler County Prison on $25,000 bond as he awaits a August 15 preliminary hearing.
