A contractor has been charged with fraud after he allegedly avoided returning a payment dating back to August.
In April, the alleged victim reported 62-year-old Kenneth Schaeffer to Middlesex Township Police for contractor fraud.
The victim claims he paid Schaeffer $4,000 for contracting work in August 2024 but the work was never completed. The victim tried to have his money returned starting in January.
Schaeffer is alleged to have never returned the money. He was charged with two counts related to contractor fraud and placed in the Butler County Prison on $5,000 bail.
