A man is facing charges after he allegedly set off an explosive at an Armstrong County swimming hole.
Our news partners at WPXI report that the explosion happened last Thursday at Buttermilk Falls in Rayburn Township.
The suspect was identified as 46-year-old Zane Clever, who allegedly took the explosive out of a bag and hid behind a boulder. That’s when witnesses say they saw a bright flash and loud bang.
Clever fled the scene on his bicycle, but was soon caught by police. Police also found Clever had methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia on him.
He was taken to the Armstrong County Jail.
