A Butler man accused of statutory sexual assault has been placed in the Butler County Prison.
According to charging documents, 25-year-old Dakota Anthony first met the 14-year-old at a family event. Police say Anthony was the son of a family friend.
The alleged sexual assaults happened when Anthony invited the victim to his home for sexual intercourse. The victim said no and told Anthony she was underage; Anthony then allegedly sent explicit photos to her.
Anthony is facing several charges including, criminal solicitation (statutory sexual assault of a minor 4 to 8), unlawful contact with a minor, and corruption of minors.
His bail has been set at $15,000 and a preliminary hearing has been scheduled for March 30th.
