The man who tried to hit a state police trooper with his vehicle is now in custody.
46-year-old Ronald Piper was arrested earlier this morning in the City of Butler.
Piper is accused of leading police on a chase that spanned from Butler to Armstrong County.
During that chase, he allegedly tried to hit a trooper on the side of the road with his car.
He was able to escape police and remained on the run until he was caught this morning.
Piper is now facing numerous felony charges.
