
Butler City Police have released information on a vehicle chase that started in Butler City and ended in Allegheny County.
Shortly before 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Butler City Police received a report of a stolen vehicle at the Sunoco Station on East Jefferson Street.
Police say 27-year-old Richard Russell of Butler was eventually spotted driving the stolen vehicle in Allegheny County. During the chase the vehicle went over an embankment and fell around 80 feet into a creek.
The vehicle was heavily damaged and Russell was injured, but the injuries are not considered to be life threating.
Russell will be charged with theft of a motor vehicle, receiving stolen property, and fleeing and eluding all of which are felonies.
There were no other injuries and no police vehicles suffered any damage.
