Police have charged a Cranberry man for allegedly strangling and assaulting a woman.
Police were called to a Cranberry hospital Sunday morning for a woman who was allegedly involved in a domestic incident.
Charging documents say the victim got into an argument with 46-year-old Brian Mills over his gambling habits. That’s when Mills allegedly pushed the victim to the ground.
The victim tried to call 911, but Mills took the phone and began to choke her.
The victim alleges Mills told her “I will kill you if you call 911. I’m not going to jail.”
Mills was placed in the Butler County Prison on $7,500 bond and has been charged with strangulation, simple assault, and terroristic threats. A July 18 preliminary hearing has been scheduled.
