A Natrona Heights man is facing felony charges after a random attack at a local motel.
Police were called to The Quality Inn in Cranberry Township this past Wednesday for a reported assault of a 74-year-old man.
It’s alleged that as the man was walking by the room of 27-year-old Jakob O’Brien, O’Brien came out the room and started attacking the victim.
The victim claims that O’Brien hit him six to eight times with a closed fist, bit the victim, and strangled him during the assault.
During the alleged attack the victim also claims that O’Brien threatened to kill him. According to the victim the two men did not know each other.
O’Brien has been charged with aggravated assault, terrorist threats, strangulation, and recklessly endangering another person. He’s being held in the Butler County Prison on $100,000 bond as he awaits a preliminary hearing.
