There was a heavy police presence at a City of Butler apartment building after it’s alleged a resident was armed and had fired a weapon at someone earlier that day.
Police arrived at a home in the 200 block of North Washington Street around 4 p.m. last Friday. They were serving an arrest warrant for 25-year-old Dustin Clark. Police on scene were in tactical gear and heavily armed while severing the warrant.
Charging documents say Clark visited the victim on Thursday morning at an apartment on Main Street. The two got into an argument, which led Clark to allegedly fire the gun.
Clark’s girlfriend then visited the victim Friday morning to allegedly set up a surprise attack, which led the victim to call police.
Clark has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault, discharge of a firearm into an occupied structure, and recklessly endangering another person. He’s being held in the Butler County Prison on $150,000 bond as he awaits a preliminary hearing.
