A Butler man is facing multiple charges after shooting a gun near someone’s head and threatening to take his life.
After a day of arguing with the victim, 38-year-old Steven Sheptak of Butler was kicked out of a home on the 200 block of Orchard Lane in Butler. When Sheptak was told to pack his bags and move out, he allegedly took a rifle out and placed the barrel in his mouth.
After arguing with the victim Sheptak took the barrel out of his mouth and fired a shot by the ear of the victim disorienting them. After the shot, the victim ran across the street to a neighbor’s home and called police.
Sheptak was taken into custody without incident and is facing multiple charges including aggravated assault. After a search warrant of the house was completed the rifle was not located.
