A Sharon man is facing charges after he allegedly took money for a home improvement project that never got started.
Police say 31-year-old Thomas Statts solicited several payments from the owner of a Park Street home in Grove City earlier this month. He told the owner that he would purchase items to complete carpentry work at the house.
However, police say Statts never bought the items, nor did he start work or return the money.
He was charged with theft by deception and failure to make required disposition of funds.
