A former Walmart manager is facing charges after he allegedly sent a text about an fake active shooting at the local store.
On September 27, police say that 24-year-old Trent Zaremba of Butler allegedly sent a former coworker the alert for an active shooter.
The employee who received the message alerted managers of the text when they arrived to work. At that time managers with the store declined to close the store.
Zaremba was charged with terroristic threats and disorderly conduct for the threat. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $2,500 bond as he awaits a preliminary hearing.
