An Evans City man is facing charges after he choked a woman and child after an argument.
On Friday police were called to a home in Evans City for an active domestic incident.
After speaking with victims on scene, police charged 41-year-old Robert Guthrie for allegedly choking a woman after the two had gotten into argument. Once the argument became physica,l the women’s child attempted to break up the altercation.
That’s when Guthrie allegedly choked the child, who told police he was unable to breath.
Guthrie has been charged with strangulation and simple assault. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $15,000 cash bond.
